IX European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, Belgrade University Headquarters

Student organization IFMSA-Serbia - the Committee for International Cooperation of medical students, together with members of the Cancer Screening Office marked the IX European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week at Belgrade University Headquarters.

Lectures on the prevention of cervical cancer were given by Professor Vesna Kesić, M.D., PhD, and Bojana Milošević,M.D.

Notes of acknowledgement were given to Primarius Đerđi Šaric, M.D. (Nalor), Primarius Vesna Stević Gajić. M.D. (Director of the Primary Health Care Centre Kruševac), Professor Vesna Kesić, M.D., Ph.D president of the ESGO Council (The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology) and Head of the Commission for the early detection of cervical cancer in the Republic Expert Committee for monitoring the implementation of programs for early detection of malignant diseases in Serbia,  Bojana Milosević , M.D. (National coordinator for cervical cancer screening in the Cancer Screening Office) and the Institute of Public Health of Serbia "Dr Milan Jovanović Batut" - the Cancer Screening Office.

 

 

The recognition "Pearl of Wisdom" awarded by the European Cervical Cancer Association (ECCA) was given to pop singer Aleksandra Radović, whose song "My life is my song" contributed to the campaign "European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week“.
